Fun in the sun..

We have been busy working on our backyard at our new house. Since this picture was taken, the bricks  have been removed and my husband dug a trench along the fence for drainage. We hope to have cement poured soon. We also had alot of dead trees removed along our back fence. I have been able to sew a few of my challenge blocks together. It is supposed to be a house theme-can't show any pictures yet!
I was able to give my great-niece Cadence her quilt at our Father's day party. She loved it! I was very suprised at her reaction-she was very pleased and gave me a big hug :) Cadence is the girl standing in the pink shirt. (notice all of the dirt surrounding our pool-we have alot of work ahead).

  1. I'm glad it's you doing all the landscape/yard work. I hate that kind of stuff. But I'm sure it will look beautiful when all done.
Glad your great-niece loved her quilt. Makes all the time and effort worth it to see their happy little faces.

  2. Have fun with the landscape project. Ha!
I love the look on a child's face when they realize the quilt is for them. Priceless!!
